About

Who am I?

My name is Romain Morlot. A self-taught guitarist for 25 years, I have always sought freedom on my instrument, striving to master tools that many described as complex. Music theory, scales, modes, chords, harmony—I tackled everything on my own, gradually developing learning methods that proved highly effective in my journey.

Through my publishing company Morlot Éditions, I now share these tools in books, posters, workshops, online courses and videos, reaching an ever-growing audience.
  • Author of the GuitarCookBook, a book that has helped thousands of musicians expand their knowledge.
  • Independent publisher and passionate YouTuber, followed by tens of thousands of subscribers.
  • Dedicated educator, convinced that with the right approach, nothing is out of reach.. .

MY MISSION

Helping both beginners and experienced musicians—whether self-taught or classically trained—unlock their creative and artistic potential through accessible learning tools designed to (re)discover essential musical concepts.

MY VISION

Traditional music education can leave some people behind. Others seek a different way to learn. Some want to deepen their knowledge. To all of them, I humbly offer my tools.

MY VALUES

Nothing is out of reach. Anyone can understand and apply music theory, regardless of their level. The full palette of musical colors is available to everyone—you just have to dare to pick up the brush.
Borrowed chords, rare modes, Indian ragas, polyrhythms—nothing is too complex to learn, as long as it’s taught the right way.
